HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF PIERSON PARK!

Community Engagement Workshops

McKinleyville Community Services District is preparing an application for Round 5 of the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program (SPP) through California State Parks.

We’re exploring improvements and new recreational opportunities at Pierson Park and want to hear from YOU!

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE?

Community members are invited to share ideas and provide input on potential improvements, including:

• Inclusive playground improvements
• Park restroom renovations
• Outdoor basketball & pickleball
• Trees, shade, & landscaping
• EV charging stations
• Completion of Skatepark Phases 2 & 3
• Improvements that increase accessibility and inclusion
• Climate-resilient park improvements
• Other ideas...

YOUR INPUT MATTERS

The 2025 Parks & Recreation Community Survey identified many potential improvements to Pierson Park as highly desired by the community. Now we want to hear from you again! Help us identify the improvements and recreational opportunities that are most important to McKinleyville residents. Your feedback will help shape the project being considered for the SPP grant application.
